Ellen Robinson, Executive Director
Ellen's life’s passion is to support individuals with disabilities & aging adults to lead a life of self-determined fulfillment. She is humbled to bring her experience & support to individuals with disabilities & aging adults.
Ellen retired with over 2 decades of experience in the educational realm. Her passion was to be a Special Education Teacher. Her areas of certification included Generalist, Special Education, and Principal, all certified in the State of Texas. Ellen earned her BBA from Northwood University and her M.Ed. from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Ellen believes that all of her life lessons and experiences have groomed her to be the best person that she can be, and for this phase of her life. She also believes that she has a responsibility to advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves and her community. EllenRobinson@BigHeartsDayHab.org
Josh Allen, Director Of Operations/Compliance
Josh is a former American football player. He played college football at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where he earned a BA in General Studies and a minor in Psychology. Josh started his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2014. Upon retirement from professional football, Josh is a Certified Personal Trainer with an elite clientele and a Firefighter/Paramedic. Josh brings his professional experience to Big Hearts and vows to make sure that our clients are well-rounded in the community that we serve.

Val Robinson, Activities Director
Val Robinson brings over 40 years of experience in providing compassionate care and engaging activities for the elderly and adults with disabilities. As the Activities Director at Big Hearts Day Habilitation Center, Val is dedicated to creating meaningful and stimulating programs that enhance the quality of life for clients. She has an extensive background working with MHMR and nursing homes, where she also served as an Activities Director. Val’s passion for enriching the lives of others shines through in her commitment to fostering a supportive, fun, and inclusive environment for all she serves. Irais Zamudio, Registered Nurse
Ira Zamudio is a dedicated Registered Nurse at Big Hearts Day Habilitation Center. With over a decade of experience in the healthcare field, Ira brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to patient care. Ira is committed to providing high-quality, personalized care to each individual at the center.
Ira's journey in nursing began with a passion for helping others, which led to earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University, College Station. Since then, Ira has expanded her expertise through ongoing education and hands-on experience in various healthcare settings.
At Big Hearts Day Habilitation Center, Ira is known for her exceptional patient rapport, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for all clients. Ira's ability to connect with patients and their families, combined with a proactive approach to health and wellness, makes her an invaluable member of the Big Hearts team.
